There are 6 Layers/Levels of IoT which are mentioned below:

1. Perception Layer:

This layer forms the physical design of IoT. It has the main function of transforming analog signals into digital form or vice versa. It comes with sensors to detect physical parameters, Actuators to convert electrical signals into physical actions, and with machines and devices.

2. Connectivity Layer:

The communication takes place either by TCP or UDP/IP stack and second act as a link between  LAN/ WAN thus providing a path for information to pass through multiple protocols. Wi-Fi, Ethernet , Bluetooth  is good  for connectivity.

3. Edge Layer:

It can process and analyze the information close to the source as much as possible. All the procedures take place for the IoT network in these layers. It saves time and resources resulting in improved performance.

4. Processing Layer:

It captures, stores, and processes data for further requirements in from the large data for application to optimize the procedures. . In the data accumulation stage, the data comes from various sources at various speeds with the other as Data Abstraction in which selected data is taken out

5. Application Layer:

Data is processed and analyzed to gather business intelligence. It has device control and monitoring services, Analytics solutions built with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

6. Business Layer:

Once data is procured it is valuable if it applies to the strategy and planning of the business. Every business has specific goals and objectives that it wants to accomplish by gathering intelligence from data.

Privacy and Security Concerns

Despite many advantages, the interconnectedness presents a substantial challenge to enterprises in terms of grave security risks from unmonitored and unsecured devices connected to networks. There are many security and privacy concerns when it comes to IoT. As the interaction comes at a certain cost which can be a loophole in this dynamic technology. The challenges are:

  1. Weak password protection remains an issue
